Hey guys! Welcome back! And Happy Thanksgiving! In honor of a holiday dedicated to giving thanks I thought it was only appropriate to share all the things I am thankful for this year. 2020 has been a rough year for everyone, so I think now more that ever it is really important to share gratitude and shine light on the positive things we have in our lives. So I challenge you to create your own list of things you are thankful for. This year has not been the best for many of us, but I’m sure we all have something to be grateful for, and here are mine.
By far one of the kindest and most patient people I know. If you didn’t know Dani does a ton of content creating here on the blog. Many of the posts that you see are were written by Dani. So Dani if you see this I just want you to know how much you mean to me. I wouldn’t be where I am without you. I value you not only as a content creator and writer, but as a person. You inspire me so much professionally and personally and I would not have come as far as I have this year if it hadn’t been for you. You have become such a great friend and I appreciate you more than you will ever know.
2020 has been a year full of changes for me, so one thing that I am most thankful for this year is that I have landed in a safe place. I have a nice home, a great job, and a wonderful support system. I truly do finally have it all. It was really rocky the first half of the year, but things have finally settled down and I truly am thankful each and every day that I am in a good place and I’m not worried about the future. I am secure in where I am and I really feel like the best is yet to come. So I’m really thankful that 2020 brought me where I am.
I will be completely honest, I’m not super grateful for my job everyday. There are days where I really struggle to get up and get going. There are days when I really dread it. But I remind myself that I could not have a job or being doing something a lot worse. So I really push myself to remember how far I have come and the amazing things that come with having the job that I have. It gives me the opportunity to work from home which has been a huge blessing. I have also met some of the most amazing people.
All Of You!
2020 has been a year of many accomplishments and a ton of growth and I couldn’t have done any of it with out each and every one of you. I am so thankful for all of you and I can’t believe that within the next year I will (hopefully) hit 2,000 followers! I am so lucky that all of you continue to support me and are invested in my journey. I love knowing that this is a safe space for me to share my life and connect with so many of you. So whether you are new here or have been here for a while, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you!
Since moving here I have really grown to love it a lot. There are so many amazing things about living in this city and one of my favorite things is that there is one side of town that is super fancy and has all the shopping centers and then the other side offers more of a small town feel. It just beings me a lot of joy to explore the city, find new places, and really just feel right at home. I love the location of my apartment and how quickly I can get places. I mean we have a Walmart less than five minutes away! You really can’t beat that!
My New Apartment.
I have already touched on this a bit, but I could not be more thankful for the opportunity to move into this apartment back in August. My life has changed drastically since then and even though it was rough going for the first couple of months, once things settled down I really started to enjoy being here. I am so thankful that I get to be here and it really is a testament that everything happens for a reason. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else and there is no where in the world I would rather be than here right now. This is my home.
God And His Endless Presence.
This past year alone God has shown His presence in my life in more ways than I could ever imagine. He showed me that He does not close one door without opening another and He did just that earlier this year. He put me exactly where I need to be right now and led me to this place. I could not be more grateful. Even though it was difficult at first and there was a lot of heartache and sadness, I knew that God was doing what He knew was best. I knew He had my best interest at heart through everything and He really did pull through for me.
When I moved into this apartment I didn’t really know what to expect. I knew I would have roommates, but I didn’t know that much about them. But over the past few months that I have been here we have grown really close. They have been there for me in ways no one else ever has been. I truly don’t know what I did to deserve them, but I am so thankful to have them. I could have ended up with anyone and I really got lucky. God knew exactly who I needed and placed them in my life for a reason and it has truly been life-changing.
2020 was not without it’s challenges, but with that came so many new opportunities. I had the opportunity to try new things, learn new things, and really find things that I love and enjoy. I got to work on myself and do things that make me happy. And I know that this new year will come with it’s own challenges and opportunities and I can’t wait to see what comes out of this next year. I already have so many exciting and fun things planned for this upcoming year and I am so looking forward to sharing all of it with you! It’s going to be a blast.
You may not know who Chai is, but she is my roommate’s cat. She is a sweet, sassy, and spunky little kitten. She has grown so much over the past few months and I can’t believe how big she has gotten! But I have so loved having her in my life and I love that I get to enjoy playing with her without the responsibility of actually caring for her all the time. She adds such a light and freshness to my life that I didn’t know I was missing before. She is sweet sometimes and sour other times, but at the end of the day she’s a really cool cat.
And those are all the things that I am really thankful for this year. It was a rough one for sure, but I think in the end it has really turned out to be an amazing year. And it’s not even over yet! Thank you so much for stopping by! I really hope you enjoyed it. Please like it if you did. Be sure to let us know in the comments what you are thankful for this year because we all have to have at least one thing to be grateful for. So let us know! Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
