Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are having a great week. Today I am back with day two of Blogmas and today I wanted to share my pamper routine for this season. The Holiday Season especially can be extremely stressful, so I think it is really helpful to have a good routine that I can depend on. My routines change with each season because I like to incorporate seasonal things that I can enjoy and that help me relax. So here is my Winter pamper routine for this year!
There is nothing quite like a nice candle to feel the room with warmth and really bring it together. It has a very cozy appeal to it that is especially nice this time of year. So when I am getting ready to start this particular routine, one of the first things I do is light a candle or two. One in my bedroom and one in the bathroom. It helps add light and a freshness that is especially needed when I’m trying to relax.
Have a hot bubble bath.
You guys know I am a sucker for a nice, long bubble bath so it’s pretty much always a part of my pamper routine in some way. And I find that in the colder months it is even better and more enjoyable and this year, for the first time ever, I have my very own bath tub. So I can enjoy as many bubble baths as I want and spend as much time in the bathroom that I want and need to and that’s a really nice feeling.
Use a body and face scrub.
I love exfoliating and since I have dry skin it is a must, especially during the colder months. And it’s been super chilly here these past few days and it looks like it will be cold for the foreseeable future. So I have been exfoliating more. I love the Dove body scrubs because they work really well and smell really good. I can even use them on my face because they aren’t too harsh and they don’t break me out.
Do a face mask.
I love sheet masks that help with hydration and brightening my dry skin in the Winter. It’s super important to take care of your skin all year, but especially in the Winter. Doing face masks that target my dry skin help it not only look better, but also feel a lot better. It’s not as itchy or flaky when I do routine face masks. I don’t do them everyday, but at least once a week I do a sheet mask that will help hydrate and brighten.
Do my nails.
I like to do my nails every couple of weeks because they start chipping and looking bad. So I really try to keep up with them at least every couple of weeks. Plus, it is something I find really relaxing and enjoyable when I find the time to do it. And I don’t think there is any better time than throwing on a movie or a YouTube video and doing my nails while I watch something. It’s something I really enjoy.
Read a book.
Reading is unfortunately not something I find a ton of time to do, especially during the week. But when I am taking time to do things I love doing, reading is always on that list. So I pull out a book, cozy up with a blanket and a nice drink, and I get lost in a good book for a while. There is no better way for me to take my mind off of things and really just relax and take it easy than with a nice book.
And that is my Winter Pamper Routine! It’s not much or anything crazy exciting, but it is a routine that I know I can do and really helps me relax.
