Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are having a great Christmas week. Yesterday I shared my updated Winter morning routine, so I thought it only made sense to follow that up with my Winter night routine. So today I wanted to walk you through my night routine and what I do every night. I will say that my night routine isn’t as structured as my morning routine because it really depends on what is going on that day, but I do have a few things that happen every single night so I wanted to share those with you.
My work day ends at around 7:00 and that is pretty late so I like to make my dinner pretty soon after my work day ends. Depending on what I’m having it can take a bit to get it done, so I like to start as soon as possible that way I’m not eating super late. I also like to enjoy my dinner because after a long day I need some time to just relax.
Most of the time I need to either write or edit a blog post, so this is something I usually do right after I finish my dinner. I take some time to work on whatever is coming up or the blog post that I plan to post the next day. I try to stay ahead of the game as much as I can, but sometimes I get a bit behind schedule.
Once I have everything on my to do list checked off, I like to take a few minutes to tidy up my room and my bathroom. There usually isn’t much that needs to be done, but I like to keep up with it. And if I’m feeling really crazy I even tidy up the kitchen sometimes. That’s not typically an everyday thing though.
Journaling is something I really love doing because it really helps me get my thoughts and feelings out. It gets them out of my head so I’m not going to bed with my mind filled with stress and anxiety. I also like to end my day with prayer and just talking to God about things that are going on.
Get Ready For Bed.
And at this point it’s pretty much time for bed. I will admit I often watch TV during this part of the night as well. I put on my pajamas, brush my teeth and go through my skin care routine. I often take my time with all of this because I don’t see any point in rushing the night routine.
And that is my current Winter night routine. It’s not much, but it works for me and I am pretty happy with it. Thank you so much for stopping by! i really hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let me know in the comments what your favorite part of your night routine is and something you like to do to end your day off on a good note. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time! Share in the comments any requests that you have for future blog posts as well!
