Hey guys! Welcome back. It is Sunday which means it is time for another weekly recap, and despite this week being stuck inside most of the time, it was actually a pretty productive week full of all kinds of things to share with you. So I’m pretty excited to just dive right in and share a whole lot of good stuff with. This week was by far one of the most interesting in a while and I’m so thankful for all the good. So let’s get right into it!

This week we obviously had a huge snowstorm. It started late Sunday and continued for a couple of days. It finally slowed down around Wednesday and everything has started to melt. It’s getting warmer now which is a good sign. I am so thankful we didn’t lose electricity or water, but my thoughts and prayers go out to all who have been struggling during this time. We were very lucky to just be pretty much snowed in for a few days.

Since we couldn’t really go out I spent a lot of time reading this week. I am still working through The Growth Mindset. I have the e-book version so I can just read it on my phone whenever I have a few minutes. I also have a couple of other books that I read sometimes when I need a change of pace, but that’s the one that is my main focus. I am almost finished with it, so soon I will be able to give you a full review. Keep a look out for that this upcoming week!

I also did some cooking this week. I am still working on trying new things, but with the grocery stores basically being wiped out it was pretty difficult to get anything new to try. I did get some chicken, squash, and sweet potatoes and just kind of cooked them up Tuesday night. It was pretty good and I will definitely be trying that again. I am so excited though to continue the cooking journey over the next few weeks.

In terms of beauty, I did my nails Friday night. It had been a couple of weeks and they were chipped pretty badly. I’m not the best at keeping up with my nails, but I try to do them at least every two weeks. I also tried a new primer this week. It’s the E.L.F. Moisture Lock Primer and I actually really love it. It gave a nice glow and did feel moisturizing on my skin. And it helped me keep that glow throughout the day so I didn’t look as dry.

And we ended the week with some shopping. Now that the roads are clear and it’s not as bad outside, we decided to get out of the apartment today. We went to Hobby Lobby and Walmart and both places were insanely busy. Walmart was pretty much wiped out of all of the basics, so we didn’t have a ton of luck with the grocery shopping, but we did manage to get enough to get us by for the week.

And I think that was all I had to share with you. Doing my nails, shopping, the snowstorm, reading, cooking, and the new primer. I also worked this week, but I feel like that was a given. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments how your week went. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!

  1. This sounds like quite a nice week! I was on half-term break from school so I spent most of the time reading, writing blog posts and going for walks!
