Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are having a great week so far. Today I am here to share with you some of my favorite ways to relax after work. Work can be stressful sometimes and it’s difficult sometimes to relax if you work from home. I work from my bedroom, so sometimes it can be difficult for me to fully relax even though I’m not working. So I wanted to share some of the things I do when I am struggling to relax in hopes that it will also help you.

Go to bed early.

There is nothing quite as relaxing as sleeping, so if you are needing something that is really helpful I highly recommend just going to bed a little earlier. Sometimes we just need a little more rest and that’s okay.

Take a bubble bath.

You probably don’t work in your bathroom, so taking a nice bath is a great way to relax in a room other than the one you work in and just relax for a little bit. Plus, a nice warm bath is really relaxing on it’s own and it’s a great way to just decompress, be still, and not have to worry about anything.

Listen to music.

Music is a very big part of my daily life. I pretty much listen to music as much as I can. So having some relaxing music or music I find comforting is a really big part of relaxing after work for me.

Cook your favorite meal.

There are few things that are as relaxing to me than cooking and baking. I love cooking and when it comes to relaxing after work I really enjoy cooking a nice meal, even if it’s just something simple. It’s a great way for me to take my mind off of things and just focus on something I enjoy.

Go for a walk.

Weather permitting, one of my favorite ways to relax is to go for a walk outside. I love just being outside in the fresh air and just spending time by myself.

Do nothing.

I can’t stress how important this is. For the first 10-15 minutes after work spend that time doing absolutely nothing. Sit somewhere (or stand) and just focus on your breathing. Focus on decompressing and releasing your energy. I promise it helps and you will feel more relaxed.

Leave your phone in another room. Don’t get on your computer. At least for a little bit. While you are having your dinner, showering or taking a bath, or doing anything else you want to do, I always like to disconnect for at least an hour after I finish my work day. It helps me get into a more relaxing mindset.

And those are my favorite ways to relax after work while working from home. Of course these also work if you don’t work from home. Thank you so much for stopping by! I really hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments what your favorite ways to relax after work are whether you work from home or not. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
