Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are having a great week. Today I wanted to bring you another work-related post since you guys really seem to enjoy them. And today I wanted to talk about some things you can do before work that can change your whole day before it even really starts. These are things that definitely make a difference to me and they always help me feel a little more motivated and ready to go.

Journal.

This is something that took some time to get into the habit of doing every morning, but once I did it was life-changing. Writing in my journal helps me wake my mind up and get started thinking about all the things I’m grateful for or all the ways I want to change my life. It also leaves me feeling more inspired and motivated because I got to see in writing whatever I am working towards and that helps me feel more empowered.

Hydrate.

It’s no real secret that drinking water is important, and that it’s especially important in the morning when you wake up. But I wanted to mention it because I know the impact it has and how I feel when I hydrate in the morning versus when I do not hydrate in the morning. After being a sleep for basically seven to eight hours, I know I’m always thirsty and there’s nothing better I can give myself than some water.

Skin Care.

I’m going to be honest. I used to not really do skin care in the morning. There isn’t any particular reason for it, I just never did it. But I started seeing a real difference not only in how I looked, but also how I felt. It helps with helping me wake and feel more refreshed in the morning. So basically what I’m saying is there is no reason not to wake up two minutes earlier and wask your face. It can only help.

Look At Your Goals.

It may seem a little strange at first because it definitely did for me, however, when it comes to feeling motivated and inspired to take on the day, one of the best ways to do that is to look at your goals. Look at both your short-term and your long-term goals and see what you are working towards. It’s bound to inspire you and help you feel more prepared to take on whatever the day ahead you has to throw your way.

Read.

Even if it’s only reading for ten minutes, reading in the morning has so many benefits. Instead of starting your morning by scrolling on social media, use that time to read something that will teach you something or inspire you in some way. Try to read books that will help you get in the right mindset to head into work with a positive mindset and a spirit prepared to conquer absolutely anything.

Workout.

I know it’s not easy to get up and do a workout every morning. And I’m not saying you have to do a full-blown workout every single day. But if you move your body for 20-30 minutes every morning before you go to work, you are going to see a difference in how you feel for the rest of the day. You are going to feel more energized and feel more focused throughout the day. It’s just a great way to start the day.

Do the thing.

Do that thing you have been putting off. Whatever it is. Whether it’s decluttering that corner in your living room, finally sending out that thank you note, or something else that you have been putting off, do it. Do it before you go to work because once you do that thing there won’t be much else that you feel like you can’t accomplish. So I challenge you to do the thing that you know you have been putting off.

Change one thing.

What is something you can do for yourself that will change your day? Maybe it’s planning a nice dinner to look forward to. Maybe it’s calling a friend. Maybe it’s picking up a nice bubble bath to help you relax after work. Whatever it is, do something to change one thing about your day that you know will make it a little better. And maybe it’s grabbing a coffee on your way to work. Whatever feels right to you, I encourage you to do it.
