Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are having a great week. I recently shared my night routine so thought it was only appropriate to follow up with sharing my morning routine with you guys. I think routines are so important and they help set you up for success. So if you don’t already have a morning routine I highly recommend finding one that works for you. It doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. It just has to work for you and be something that is manageable for you. So with that, let’s get into what my current morning routine looks like!

Make my bed.

Making your bed is technically a chore, but it’s such an easy one. And it helps your room look so much more put together. I have to make my bed every morning because my desk is literally right next to my bed and I have to look at it all day while I’m working. But even if I was working outside of my apartment still, I would probably continue making my bed because it’s just a really great way to start the day and provides a sense of accomplishment first thing in the morning.

Stretch.

I sit for at least eight hours a day while I am at work and there isn’t really a lot of movement happening. So I try always to start my day with at least some stretching and movement because it really helps me boost my energy and prepare myself for all the work I’m about to do. It just helps me loosen up and helps me stay a little more focused throughout the day.

Wash my face.

This is really important for me first thing in the morning because I have really dry skin. So I try to keep up with a really good skin care routine both morning and night so I can make sure my skin is taken care of and it doesn’t get super itchy and I don’t get any dry patches. I also try to keep up with it so much because it’s just a little bit of self care at the start of the day that just adds to the joy. I will also brush my teeth at this time while I’m in the bathroom.

Journal.

As many of you know, I have been journaling for a few months now and it has changed my life. I have a prompt for everyday and even though there have been days where I have had to catch up, for the most part I manage to stay on track. And having a prompt or question everyday really has helped me start my day with a mindset of growth and improvement. It has brought me a lot of opportunities to really get to know myself and what I want and what I am working towards.

Get ready.

And I finish my morning routine with physically getting ready for the day. I start with getting dressed. Most days when I’m working I don’t wear makeup because I really don’t see the point. No one really sees me so I just don’t bother unless I really want to. I make sure that I get all signed into my computer (I try to be on time, but sometimes it doesn’t happen). And I just try to make sure I am as prepared for the day as I can be. And that’s pretty much it.

So that is my morning routine! Thank you so much for stopping by! I really hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments what your favorite part of your morning routine is and what you just can’t start your day without doing! I would love to know! Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!

Hi Samantha, great post! I also try to make sure I have some time to stretch in the morning, it helps me get ready for the day. I try to meditate every morning after my glass of water because as you know we are more likely to get into meditative state right after waking up and before falling asleep.
