Hey guys! Welcome back. I cannot believe that April is already over. I mean, I know I say that every month, but it’s actually crazy how fast these past few months have gone by. Maybe it’s just because I am always busy. But it’s been really fun and I have had such a blast this month and I am so excited about everything I was able to accomplish in this past month. And today’s whole goal is to share with you all the things I was loving last month and what my goals are going into this next month. So with that I will get right into my favorites from April and follow with my goals for May!
April 2021 Favorites:
Demi Lovato – Dancing With The Devil…The Art Of Starting Over.
I have always loved Demi Lovato and when she released her new album I listened to it completely. I don’t typically listen to full albums from anyone, but I listened to all of this one and I love it. There are so many great ones, but some of my favorites are “Melon Cake”, “The Art Of Starting Over”, and “Butterfly”. There are so many great songs on this album and I definitely recommend listening to this one if you are looking for songs you can really connect to.
Taylor Swift – Fearless (Taylor’s Version).
Taylor also released an album this month and it was her version of her Fearless album that came out in 2008. I was so excited because this is one of my favorite albums of all time and I love all of the songs that weren’t released before. This is another album that I listened to in it’s entirety and I loved every second of it. If you haven’t listened to it yet, I highly recommend because it’s so good and it brought back so many memories.
My new laptop.
I got a new laptop about a week and a half ago and I have been absolutely loving it. I am so happy I invested in it, especially since I started my new class and really needed a new one. My other one was fine, but it was definitely getting old and working a lot slower. And I love that this one is touch screen and I can use it almost as a tablet if I really want to. It’s just so practical and fun and I love it.
My new leggings.
I got some new leggings a couple of weeks ago from Maurices and I literally live in them. They are the high-waisted leggings and I seriously can’t get enough of them. They are so soft and comfortable and I wear them literally every chance I get. I am going to link them here in case you want to check them out. They also have a ton of other options on their website that are a bit more affordable. I got mine on sale but they normally run about $30.
Garnier Triple Nutrition Shampoo And Conditioner.
If you have been around here for a while, you probably know that I really like to switch up the shampoo and conditioner that I use. Some people don’t, but I feel like if I always use the same shampoo and conditioner that it stops being as effective. So when I run out I try to get something different, whether it’s one I used a while ago or a brand new one. This one was new to me and I absolutely love it. It makes my hair so soft and feel so amazing.
None of these products I’m talking about are sponsored in any way, but I always love sharing with you guys what I’m loving and what I have been using. I have had this razor for a little over a month now probably and I absolutely love it. Shaving has never been easier and I love that I can keep it on my shower wall for convenient access. I use this razor all the time and I love that they send me replacements.
Now that I am back in classes and getting back into the groove of assignments and tests and things I have brought out my planner once again. I still use my Google Calendar, but having a paper planner helps me make sure I have all of my assignments, class work, and meetings written in one place where I know I won’t use them. It just helps me stay organized and even more on top of everything.
Bath & Body Works “Sunshine Mimosa” Candle.
I got this candle a couple of weeks ago and I seriously can’t get enough of it. It has quickly become my favorite scent. It’s the perfect combination of a citrus scent and a sweet scent and it’s not too overpowering like some candles tend to be. I have absolutely loved this one and will most likely get another one when this one runs out. It’s the perfect Spring and Summer scent for me and I have been burning it so much lately.
May 2021 Goals:
I’m going to be honest. In April I really fell off of the journaling habit. Part of it had to do with me starting to get a lot more busy and part of it had to do with the fact that one day I didn’t do it and the habit just kind of drifted away. But I am trying to get back into it this month and keep doing it everyday because it really has helped me so much and been one of my favorite things this year. So I’m really trying to start the habit back up this month.
Continue on a workout routine.
It’s easy to say we don’t have time sometimes, but for me I know that’s not true. I do have time, even if it’s only ten minutes. And I always remind myself that ten minutes is better than no minutes. I try to do it in the morning before I start my day because I know in the evening I will be exhausted and I won’t want to do it. And then I will talk myself out of it. So I’m trying to stay in the routine of doing it in the morning.
Declutter my bedroom.
It’s not too bad, but there are some areas that I need to declutter. I need to clean out my bathroom sink drawers, declutter and toss some of the old makeup that is expired, and get my closet back to it’s former glory. I sometimes find myself stress cleaning, so I think these will be some really good projects for those days when I really need something to help me relieve some stress and get something organized.
Cook more meals.
I love cooking and I have been watching a ton of videos on cooking and different recipes I really want to try. So hopefully I can start incorporating even more cooking this month and really find new things to try. I get into a habit of always eating the same few things which is fine, but I think trying new things is really good too. So I’m looking forward to seeing what I find to cook this month and what I love.
Schedule more content.
Now that I have added even more to my plate and I’ve been a lot more busy, blogging is something that I have to schedule for very specific times. I take a few hours each week for planning, writing, and posting, and it helps me make sure I can get content out for you guys and also keep my sanity. It’s not everyday anymore, but it’s still pretty regular posting and things that I really want to share and chat with you about.
And with that, those were my favorites from last month and my goals for this next month! Thank you so much for stopping by! I really hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let me know in the comments what posts you would like to see from me in the near future. Also, leave your questions for May’s monthly Q&A that is coming up on Thursday! Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
