Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you are having a great week. As things have changed for me recently and I finally got into a new routine, I was doing some thinking about how boring routines can be sometimes. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love having routines because they help give my days structure and meaning, but they can also be a bit boring at times. So I started thinking about if I do anything to add some variety to my routines even if it’s not intentional. I wrote those down and decided to share them with you today. So if you are looking for ways to spice up your routines, just keep reading!

Do something without intention.

Most of the things I’m doing on a daily or weekly basis are intentional. Whether it’s going to work, working on school work, writing blog posts, or anything along those line, they all have a purpose. And most of the things that I do have a purpose or some kind of end goal that I am trying to reach. But I also have some things that aren’t necessarily intentional or have an end goal really. Sometimes it’s cleaning or organizing without having a specific amount of cleaning that I’m trying to get done. Sometimes it’s coloring just to take my mind off of things. And sometimes it’s just spontaneously deciding to do something just for fun. It’s all about creativity and enjoying life sometimes.

Take in new content.

I am always looking for new things to read, watch, and listen to. Whether it’s a new book, my favorite podcast, or even a new YouTube channel, I like finding new ways to learn things and gain knowledge from other people. I am always on the hunt for new people to follow and support. I already have my favorites and I am always finding ways to listen to them and learn from them, but it never hurts to seek out new people because I believe that everyone has something to offer and we can all learn from each other and learn new things about life.

Try new recipes.

Cooking is something that is tricky because it’s really easy to fall into the habit of always eating the same things and just cooking the same meals over and over again. So one really easy way that I add variety to my routines and habits is by trying new meals and recipes. Sometimes it turns out well and other times not so much. But it’s all about just broadening my taste palette and experiencing new things. It makes cooking something to look forward to since it’s something I do pretty much everyday and it makes things fun and interesting.

Rearranging my space.

It doesn’t always mean moving around all of my furniture, although it absolutely can mean that. I have definitely moved around my furniture a couple of times and I’m about to do it again soon. But I also just rearrange the other things in my room, bathroom, or whatever other room I want to refresh. It’s a nice change of scenery and adds just a little bit of variety that really goes a long way a lot of the time. Sometimes it’s the little things that really do have a big impact and don’t take that much time at all. I also add decor, plants, or lights to add something new.

30-Day Challenges.

I absolutely love 30-Day challenges because they are really helpful for building new habits, pushing yourself, and really just growing in general. So when I want to add something to my routine that’s more short-term I like to add in a 30-Day challenge just to see how far I can get and what I can accomplish. There are so many out there that are actually really fun for all sorts of areas of life. They have 30-Day challenges for physical health, mental wellness, hobbies, personal growth, spiritual health, and so much more. There is such a variety and I love trying as many as I can.

And those are some of the ways that I add variety to my routines. They all have really big impacts in their own ways and I usually pick just one or two that I want to add in.
