Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you all had a great week. Mine was crazy as usual, but I can’t complain. It was a pretty busy work week since yesterday was my first day off in a while. I had training all week and it was pretty crazy. This week we are still training, but it’s slightly different and a little more stressful. But that starts tomorrow. For today, I am resting and just trying to get ahead on as much as I can. Scheduling posts, working on behind the scenes stuff, and getting as many assignments done as I can just so I have less to worry about later on. But for now, let’s recap everything that happened last week!
So I did get a few new things from Ulta and I figured I would share that with you. I got another It Cosmetics Confidence In A Gel moisturizer because it’s my favorite and it was on sale. It was the reason I placed an Ulta order in the first place. I also got another L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara because mine is almost empty and this is always my go-to mascara. I got the EcoTools Makeup Brush Cleaning Shampoo and the J. Cat Beauty Silicone Pad Brush Cleaner because now that I have more brushes, I really needed to step up my brush cleaning game. I also got the E.L.F. Holy Hydration! Daily Cleanser because I am almost out of face wash. And those were the things I got from Ulta. Not too exciting I realize, but I figured I would share anyway just in case.
I also got vaccinated yesterday. The shot itself didn’t hurt at all, but my arm is very sore now. I haven’t really started feeling any side effects yet, I’m just really tired. But that could just be because today was pretty busy. Other than my arm hurting it wasn’t a bad experience at all. Now I just have to wait another month to finish it off. I really can’t wait for it to be over. I also did pick up a few things at Walmart while I was out. Just some basic stuff. Nothing super exciting there.
And I also got a crock pot this week! It was never really something I intended to own, but I saw one at Walmart that I absolutely loved. It’s so pretty and it was fairly inexpensive. So I got it! And I used it for the first time and made chicken and dumplings. I will share how I made them and what I used down below. It wasn’t anything too crazy, but they turned out really well. It was a lot of fun trying it out and I can’t wait to use it again!
1 lb. chicken breast
Salt and pepper
2 cans cream of chicken soup
3 cups chicken broth
2 tablespoons butter
1 bag frozen mixed vegetables (you can totally omit these if you prefer no vegetables)
1 can refrigerated homestyle Pillsbury Grands biscuits
1. In crock pot, add chicken breast and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
2. Add soup and chicken broth.
3. Top with butter.
4. Cook for three hours on HIGH.
5. Remove chicken and shred. Put back in crock pot.
6. Add frozen vegetables and cook for 15 minutes on HIGH.
7. Separate biscuits and cut into 8 pieces.
8. Add the biscuits to the crock pot.
9. Cook for another 45 minutes to an hour.
10. Let cool and enjoy!
It really wasn’t that difficult to make and it turned out really well. I am excited to try more recipes.
