Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you had a great week and I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. It’s a bit rainy here, but otherwise really nice. Today I wanted to open up a little bit about something that has been going on in my own life. As some of you may know I’ve opened up here lately about the stress I’ve been going through and all the things I have going on. It’s led to feelings of burnout and I’ve struggled to keep going at times. So I knew it was time to do something about it and this past week I did just that.

I have had the past four days off from work including today. I have Wednesday and today off so I just took Thursday and Friday off and had a nice little vacation. It was really nice to be able to take some time off and just enjoy some time to myself. Not having to go to work for four days really did my mind and body some good. I was able to get some much needed rest and relax without thinking about work or anything else really. It was a great time for me to focus on myself and my mental health. I am so thankful that I went ahead and did it.

I took a step back from a lot of things over this little vacation. I obviously stepped away from work which was a huge blessing. It was much needed and I am feeling much better now. I also took a small step away from a lot of other things that I had been dealing with from school to other projects in my life. I decided to focus solely on making sure I was okay and taking care of the things I needed to do that I feel like I don’t have much time for anymore. It was really nice to be able to take a step back and just do what I wanted for a few days.

I spent some time outside these past few days as well. It’s been really hot so it wasn’t as much time as I would have liked, but it was still nice. It’s always a blessing to get some fresh air and just recharge the soul with the warmth. It really boosted my mood and my energy. It was nice to be able to walk around outside and have some time to get my thoughts together. I did a lot of reflecting and just thinking about the future. I am really looking forward to some of the new ideas I had to grow and be happier overall.

I did spend some time this week working on a project that I have been really putting off for sometime. I made quite a bit of progress this week and I am really excited to see it all finally coming together. It’s not quite ready yet and it’s not really ready to be announced, but when it is I will share more details. For now I’m just excited to share that significant progress has been made and I am looking forward to how far we come over the next couple of months. I think this is finally going to be the year that it really all comes together.

It’s been a really nice vacation and I am so thankful that I got the opportunity to have this time off and enjoy some time to myself because the rest of this month is going to be unbelievably busy and chaotic. So I’m glad I got some rest. Thank you so much for stopping by! I really hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments how you hit the reset button, whether you have a few days to yourself or not. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
