Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you all had a great week. The weekend is finally upon us and I am so excited. It’s been such a crazy week and I’m ready for a new start. It’s also the end of the month, so it’s time to start planning for August. I’ve been so busy so I’m not as prepared as I normally am, but I am really excited to start planning it out and seeing what this month has in store. But for today, I wanted to share some things you can do that won’t take up too much time that can leave you feeling more prepared for a new week and a new month.
Clean up your apps.
I don’t know about you, but I sometimes go through my phone and realize I have apps that I no longer use or no longer need. And clearing up those apps is really helpful. Knowing which apps I don’t open often and don’t really need helps keep my phone organized and saves storage on my phone which is really helpful.
Make a shopping list.
I’ve never been good at keeping a running list, or a list in general, when it comes to grocery shopping, so this is something I will be doing this weekend. It helps to take inventory of everything so I know I’m getting what I need and avoiding anything that I don’t need. It’s really great for staying on track.
Clean out the fridge.
It’s easy to forget about things that are left in the fridge, but it’s never a good surprise later. So if you have a few minutes over the weekend, get rid of the stuff in the fridge that you don’t need or that have gone bad. It’s not a fun task, but I promise you will thank yourself later on.
Wipe down the counters.
Since you are already in the kitchen, now is a good time to go ahead and wipe off the counters. Get rid of any clutter and do a quick wipe down of all the surfaces. It takes just a few minutes, but it makes a world of difference. It’s so nice to have a clean kitchen going into a new week.
Change your sheets.
When is the last time you changed your sheets? If you can’t remember, it’s probably time. So while you have a few minutes go ahead and change your sheets. Toss the old ones in the washer as well that way they are already clean for the next time. It may be a pain now, but it will be so nice later.
Clean the bathroom.
This is something that should be done regularly anyway, but sometimes life gets in the way. And regardless of whether you’ve done it recently or not, it’s never a bad idea to clean your bathroom. Even it it’s just one part of the bathroom, every little bit helps. But if you can get around cleaning the whole thing it’s not a bad idea.
Do some stretches.
A quick 10 – 15 minute stretch is always a good idea. It’s a great way to loosen up your body, relieve some tension, and just feel a little better overall. If you have a few minutes to spare, there are some great YouTube videos that offer some guided stretches and quick workouts that will leave you feeling amazing.
Fold some clothes.
If you are anything like me, you probably won’t get through folding all of them in a short amount of time, but anything you can do is better than nothing at all. So take a few minutes and fold a load or two of clothes. And if you can throw some in the washer, it’s less you have to do later.
Update your calendar.
If there are tasks you’ve been meaning to add, things you need to move around, or things you need to plan for, now is a great time to look at your calendar and see what’s going on. Especially now that we are about to enter a new month and there’s probably a lot going on that needs to be scheduled and planned for.
It’s almost a new week and a new month, so there’s so much that can be done. Hopefully this gives you some inspiration on some quick things you can do that can have a pretty big impact. Especially if you end up accomplishing more than one. Thank you so much for stopping by! I really hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. If you have any other ideas or suggestions on tiny things we can do this weekend to still feel productive, let us know in the comments below. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
