Hey guys! Welcome back. I hope you have all had a great week. Today I thought I would do a post dedicated to a question I get asked quite frequently which is how I feel about living in the city. I will start by saying that the city I live in isn’t super big, but it is way larger than the small town that I grew up in. I’ve lived here for coming up on a year and I feel like I kind of know what I like and what I don’t like about the city life. So if you want to know more about how I feel about living in the city and what the pros and cons are, just keep reading!

Pro: Public Transportation.

I would say one of the biggest benefits to living in the city is they have public transportation available. It’s less worry about parking, paying for gas, and having other car expenses. It’s not always the most affordable, but I still consider it a really big benefit to living in the city and having it as an option.

Con: It’s noisy.

I think I’m a little more biased about this one because I live right next to the railroad tracks, but I think city life is more noisy regardless. There’s more people, more vehicles, more everything. It’s really noisy pretty much all the time. No matter what time it is, you can probably find people out and about.

Pro: The Dining Options.

One of my favorite things about living in the city is all the food options that are available. There are so many restaurants to choose from and there are always new places to try. It is easily one of the biggest benefits to the city life, especially if you love going out and trying new foods.

Con: It’s crowded.

One of the downfalls to the city life is that there are always people around. People come from all over the place come to shop and eat and see things. It’s always busy no matter where you go. And if you’re like me and crowds aren’t really your thing, it can be a bit overwhelming at times.

Pro: Short Commute.

Knowing that I don’t have to go far to get to work, the store, or anywhere I need to go is really nice. Growing up in a place where anything of interest is at least 30 minutes away, having things be closer is a huge plus. I love knowing that I can get anywhere I want or need to go in a shorter amount of time.

Con: Less scenery.

Living in the city gives you less opportunities to enjoy the nice scenery. There aren’t as many trees or open spaces. There are still really nice things to see, but they are fewer than you would see in less crowded places. I guess it could be a benefit because you appreciate more when you do see it.

City life has a ton of benefits and downfalls, but overall I really love it. I think it’s a good fit for me and I couldn’t imagine going back to not having things be close by. But that’s all for this one. Thank you so much for stopping by! I really hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Let us know in the comments if you live in the city and what your favorite and least favorite things about it are. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
