Hey guys! Welcome back. It is my favorite time of the month! Today I get to do this month’s Q&A and I am so excited. I have some really great questions pulled that you guys have asked and I can’t wait to dive right into all of them. We have a good mixture of fun and more serious questions so I can’t wait to see what we get into today. As always if you have questions for future Q&A’s you can leave in the comments or go follow me on Instagram and I’ll ask for questions there as well. You can also message me at any time. But for now, let’s get into today’s questions!
What have you been up to recently?
A lot of work. Also, I have been getting ready for potentially a new job and a new apartment. It’s been kind of crazy over here to I’ve also been planning and scheduling a lot of blog posts in advance.
What has helped your mental health the most? I’m really struggling.
This is way easier said than done, but the number one thing that helped me the most was removing anything toxic from my life. First that meant toxic people and then I left the job that was draining me mentally. It’s not easy to make those changes, but for me, once I did, it helped so much. I don’t struggle nearly as much anymore. There are a lot of little things that I tried but to be honest I knew I was going to struggle until I removed those things from my life. It’s scary at first, but if you are able and willing to do it, you will see some pretty immediate and gradual changes in your mental health.
What type of dog would you get if you were to get one?
I honestly don’t have a preference. Much like getting a cat I would just go based on feeling and connection. I had never met Penny when I filled out the adoption application but I knew even before I met her that she would be perfect and she has been. So I would do the same for a dog, but they would obviously have to be good with cats.
What’s your best advice for someone trying to chase their dreams?
Just go for it. Do the work you need to do and don’t expect things to happen overnight. Be patient with yourself and the process and things will work out as they are meant to. Also remember it’s okay for dreams to shift or change. You are always growing, so you should always expect that your dreams will as well. Don’t hold back.
The quote that always sticks with you?
“Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.” – Earl Nightingale. I think this also goes very nicely with the previous question.
What’s the scariest sound to hear when waking up in the middle of the night?
I definitely think a lot of sounds are pretty scary, but the scariest would probably be footsteps.
How do you know when it’s the right time to move?
When you know you’re ready and completely prepared for everything that comes with that.
Favorite TV show lately?
Anyone else completely obsessed with Squid Game? I haven’t see the whole thing yet, but I’m getting through it and it’s so good. I watched three episodes last night.
How do you go about decorating your apartment with roommates?
We go very basic and neutral with the decor, but also none of us are super picky so it works out.
Any tips on dealing with extreme anxiety?
The only thing that worked for me was figuring out what was causing the anxiety and finding a way to remove it from my life. Other than that nothing really worked and I struggled a lot more that I would have liked.
Do you prefer mascara or false lashes?
I’ve actually never used false lashes. It just seems like too much to me. So definitely mascara.
Do you miss anything about your old job?
I miss the hours I worked. That’s about it though.
Are you going to write another book?
I am currently in the process of writing another book. I am hoping to have it done at least by next Summer around my birthday so I can put it out for you guys. I think you are really going to love this one.
What’s your favorite thing about being a cat mom?
She is always so excited to see me when I come home and she’s always there to cheer me up after a long day.
What to do if following your dreams means changing your entire life?
I’m currently in this exact situation and I will say it’s terrifying. If everything works out I will not only be changing jobs but I will also be moving somewhere new and pretty much starting over. But if it’s your dream you just have to do it right?
And that’s it! Those were the questions I had pulled for this Q&A. I always have the most fun getting to answer your questions and just see what things you guys are interested in knowing more about. I might do another one this month, but if not there will definitely be another on coming up in November which will be here before we know it. Thank you so much for stopping by! I really hope you enjoyed this. Please like it if you did. Don’t forget to follow before you leave if you have not already and I hope to see you next time!
